Hello everyone,
I am Colleen and I am the assistant director here at World Around Us Child Care in North St. Paul. I have been here for 10 years now and I enjoy being surrounded by children all the time.
Seeing them get excited when they learn something new is a true gift for me.
I have a daughter myself, who is 22 and a teddy bear dog (Bichon Shih Tzu mix) named Zoey.
When I am not at WAU I enjoy spending time with my family and my friends.

Why did you choose to become part of WAU?
I really love the family atmosphere.
What does a typical day at WAU look like for you?
When I arrive I will go into all the classrooms and greet everyone. Then I will work in the preschool classroom for a while. If I am not needed in a classroom I will help Dawn with our daily administrative duties. Part of my job also is giving tours through our location and trying to answer all of the questions parents have.
What's the most favorite tune of all all times, and why?
Sweet Caroline - by Neill Diamond! It reminds me of my dad. He seized every opportunity possible to hum or sing that song.
If you could have one superpower, what would it be?
The ability to time travel. I cannot change the past, but I would have the ability to change the future.
What is the nerdiest thing you do in your spare time?
I like to color (Mandalas and actually everything that has to do with drawing and painting). I don't know if that's nerdy, but that's what I enjoy doing to relax.

1. Concert or Play? - Concert because I can not sit still for that long.
2. roller coasters or Ferris Wheel? - Roller Coasters, the faster the better!
3. Tacos or Burgers? - I can't decide here. I love both too much!
4. Formal or Casual? - Casual, unless blue jeans is considered formal wear.
5. Paintings or Photos? - Photos, so I can look back at the memories made from that day.
